Object and purpose of the UIB

The international Union of Bakers and Bakers-Confectioners is the alliance of vocational organisations of bakers and bakers-confectioners becoming members. A country can only be represented by one single organisation. In Europe the membership is restricted on the countries. Outside Europe countries or country groups can become members.

The UIB has especially the following tasks

	to represent the cultural, economic and social interests of its members
	to treat problems regarding formation, engineering, quality, sale, tax, and all other problems being connected directly or indirectly with the trade
	to consult its members, to represent them and to protect their interests before international authorities and organisations
