The alarming situation on the world grain market gave cause to intensive discussions: crop failures, drought, storm damages, misuse of grain to heat, etc. will raise the prices of grain and flour on a massive scale. The result of a spontaneous survey about changes or rise in raw material and production costs respectively was made available to all members. The doubling of the flour prices and enormous cost increases for energy and dairy products are noticeable in some countries. The bread prices will be adjusted by 5 to 10 %.

The board confirmed the suggestion of the presidium to analyze in specific committees the development of the grain market, availability and quality of raw materials and the prices. Bread and health in connection with bread additives, salt content, fol acid etc. will be dealt in a separate sector. It is about to get information about the recipes from the subcontractors to supply the customer a clear declaration. The analysis of the bread consumption and the tendency complete the work.
